Drew Blyth Barrymore is an American actress, producer, screenwriter, film director and model. Drew is a member of the Barrymore family of American actors and the granddaughter of John Barrymore. Drew has first appeared in an advertisement when she was only 11 months old. In 1980 Drew Barrymore has made her film debut in "Altered States". Afterwards, Drew starred in her breakout role in the movie named "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial". Then she quickly became one of the Hollywood's most recognized child actress, going on to establish herself mainly in comic roles. Following a turbulent childhood which was marked by drug and alcohol abuse and two stints in rehab, Barrymore wrote the 1990 autobiography named "Little Girl Lost". Drew successfully made the transformation from a child star to an adult actress with a number of films including "Bad Girls", "Poison Ivy", "Boys on the Side" and "Everyone Says I Love You". Subsequently, Drew Barrymore has established herself in romantic comedies such as "50 First Dates" and "The Wedding Singer".
